Lots of Finished Projects!

I haven't posted since November 2007! I have been keeping up over at Ravelry, and it feels kind of redundant posting here also. But, alas, I know it isn't because not all my blog readers are on Ravelry.

I have been quite busy and have managed to complete quite a few projects. Here are the highlights:
This is the very popular Hemlock Ring Throw that Jared of Brooklyn Tweed designed by taking a vintage doily pattern and putting his own spin on it with large needles and worsted weight yarn. I knit this while doing a Ready Set Knit KAL with Pixie and Kathy over at WEBS yarn store. I really enjoyed this pattern and found the repeats very easy to memorize.

I also knit this bag, also a Ready Set Knit KAL:

It was a fun quick knit, using bulky alpaca yarn. The alpaca is so very soft. I use this as my everyday purse now.

I knit my fourth pair of Felted Clogs for Bob, my Mother-in-laws husband. My mother-in-law, Pat, and Bob admired my felted clogs and asked for some so I happily knit some up. I used Patons Classic Wool for these in a nice dusty blue:

I presented them to him unfelted so that he could take them home and have Pat felt them, as we didn't have time to do it while we were all together. Long distance over the cell phones we got 'em done.

Perhaps, my biggest project to date, as far as time spent knitting, frogging, reknitting, refiguring after a gauge "discrepancy", is this lovely Kauni sweater, that I wrote about last fall. I, along with many other Kauni fans, somehow talked Kathy at WEBS into bringing some of this colorful yarn in from across the pond. I think it turned out to be a real headache for Kathy and Steve at WEBS because the yarn came in in all different put-ups. I, however, am very grateful for the yarn because I love my sweater and learned so much from constructing it.

The weather has not been cool enough to wear it yet, but it is blocked and ready to wear as soon as it is. That's not all, but I will post more later.
